Default Pattern index

Section describes other details pertaining to default index patterns

The default index pattern is automatically selected when you create a visualization from scratch

When you want any new index pattern to be set as default you can also do it on Kibana

1. Click on “Stack Management” and click on “Index patterns”

2. Click the “Index pattern name”

3. Click the star icon () from the list as shown below

Setting Default Index

The first index pattern you create is automatically set as the default pattern.
